*Original 8-week immersion series for beginners
Our 8 week French immersion for beginners is designed for French culture and theatre lovers want to achieve French fluency. The first half of the class will focus on grammar with an emphasis on verbs. Students will also perform simple improvisation exercises to build a personal relationship to the language and increase confidence speaking. In the second half of each class, students will read and rehearse scenes and monologues from plays to improve pronunciation skills, build vocabulary and develop reading comprehension and listening skills. At the end of the 8-week immersion, students who have attended all classes and completed the minimum homework required will be able to pronounce written French, have a basic conversation, conjugate 100 essential verbs in the present tense, future and past and read the language. (The course will culminate in the presentation of scenes from a contemporary play. Absolute beginners and "non-actors" welcome. Don't worry if you're shy. This class is for everyone!)

The Eight week series is offered three times a year starting in January, June and September.
Time: Class meets Monday, Tuesday AND Wednesday and includes an optional weekly outing to a French film, restaurant or other cultural event for extra conversation practice.
*Four and six-week immersions
The full 8 week immersion is designed for beginners who want to reach fluency.
Advanced beginners may start with week 3 and take a six-week immersion.
Intermediates may start with week 5 and take a four-week immersion.
Times: Each class meets Monday, Tuesday AND Wednesday: 6:30-8pm and includes an optional weekly outing.
On each second Wednesday, class is held from 7:15-8:45pm.

Weeks 3-4: Advanced Beginner (October 1-10)
Weeks 5-6: Intermediate (October 15-24)
Weeks 7-8: L'Atelier Francophone (October 29-November 7)
*If you don't want to complete the sequence, you may sign up for four or six-week immersions starting at any level.
